Properties of chlorinated rubber products
The average molecular weight of chlorinated rubber is 5000 ~ 20000. The tensile strength of unplasticized chlorinated rubber is large even at a low deformation rate, up to 39.24 MPa, but the relative elongation is very low. The strength of plasticized chlorinated rubber is related to the type of plasticizer and the degree of plasticizer. Like other chlorinated polymers, chlorinated polymers have high chemical stability.
Given the chlorinated rubber in the case of not adding plasticizer basically do not use, so like strength, chemical stability depends largely on its film plasticizer, colorants, fillers, and the type and dosage of stabilizing agent (individually generated by chlorinated rubber film, fast and with brittle, because the film is very thin, This unplasticized polymer is only used to make printing inks). Chlorinated rubbers, like most highly chlorinated polymers, tend to form gels under less suitable conditions if plasticizers are not added. The mechanism of formation of gels is complex and depends on the type of complexes added. The common feature is the automatic catalytic reaction of hydrogen chloride removal, which leads to cross-linking and gel formation. Most stabilizers act like acid absorbers and prevent autocatalytic reactions from occurring. Chlorinated rubber can be used with a variety of synthetic or natural resins and rubber, and when used with resins, the hardness and wear resistance of the obtained products can be improved in most cases. This is very important for coatings and adhesives. Because it requires high creep resistance.
Main use of rubber products
Chlorinated rubber is less used for extrusion or molding products, its main use is according to the relative molecular mass size or viscosity of different types, suitable for ink, coating and adhesives, is generally low viscosity (0.01Pa? S) products are mainly used as ink additives; Medium viscosity (0.01 ~ 0.03 Pa? S) products are mainly used to prepare coatings; High viscosity (0.1T ~ 0.3pA? S) products are mainly used in the manufacture of adhesives. From the actual situation of domestic and foreign applications, they are mainly used in the middle viscosity products of coatings. The main application fields in paint are landmark paint, ship paint, container paint, architectural paint, swimming pool paint, flame retardant paint and so on. Road marking paint, also known as road marking paint, is a special application field of chlorinated rubber. Chlorinated rubber - based coatings are resistant, fast - drying and look good on concrete and asphalt surfaces. They bond well enough to withstand chemicals and abrasives used in snowy weather and when there is thin ice on the ground. In Britain, chlorinated rubber is already mandatory to mark airports.

This paint is widely used in oil refining plants. In terms of adhesive, chlorinated rubber is basically not used as an independent film forming agent, but as a modified additive. Used to improve the properties of neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber and polyurethane adhesives. Chlorinated rubber can make these adhesives more versatile. In the United States, chlorinated rubber is mainly used for paint, of which, signpost paint accounts for 46. In other countries, chlorinated rubber paint has 6O for ship paint.
