The butadiene styrene rubber gasket uses an amorphous rubber without self reinforcement. Styrene butadiene rubber contains huge phenyl side groups in its molecular structure, which makes intermolecular atomic force large. It has better wear resistance and high permeability than natural rubber vulcanized rubber, but it has poor flexibility, cold resistance, tear resistance, large deformation or thermal deformation for many times, large hysteresis loss, and poor crack resistance of flexible tortoise (flexibility appears after rapid crack growth).

The styrene butadiene rubber used in the butadiene styrene rubber gasket is carbon chain rubber, belonging to non-polar rubber, with poor oil resistance and non-polar solvent resistance. However, due to the tighter structure, oil resistance and non-polar solvent resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and water resistance are better than natural rubber. Due to less impurities, the electrical insulation is slightly better than that of natural rubber. It has improved processing safety, is not easy to burn, is not easy to over vulcanize, and has good vulcanization flatness.
