The toughness of PVC/EVA can be improved by mixing PVC/EVA with HNBR. HNBR used as a plastic additive, can improve the impact resistance of plastic, aging resistance and oil resistance, such as PVC/HNBR has high heat resistance air aging performance and heat aging performance in fuel; HNBR/PC has high strength, good machining performance and good thermal stability; The addition of EPDM to HNBR can greatly improve the oil resistance. These blending modification technologies open up a new field for the application of HNBR.

Usually, the higher the content of clear base in butadiene rubber, the higher the glass transition temperature and the worse the cold resistance. The glass transition temperature of hydrogenated butadiene rubber is not only affected by the content of chloryl, but also related to the iodine value (hydrogenation rate). When the content is less than 34%, the glass transition temperature increases with the increase of hydrogenation rate. However, with the increase of hydrogenation rate, the glass transition temperature does not change obviously when the content of clear base is high. According to the R test result (AS D1329), it can be seen (FIG. 5) that when the clear content is 34%, the value of R10 increases with the increase of hydrogenation rate; when the content exceeds 40%, the value of R10 decreases with the increase of hydrogenation rate. The reason for this phenomenon is the crystallization of HNBR. The newly developed cold-resistant HNBR can not only inhibit the rise of glass transition temperature caused by hydrogenation, but also improve its heat resistance.
