What are the characteristics of hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals?

Oct 07, 2023

Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber is a kind of rubber material with relatively high performance. Hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber is often used in various rubber seals with high requirements. What are the characteristics of hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber seals?

1. Although hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals are hydrogenated and saturated, they still maintain the characteristics of original nitrile rubber and have tensile crystallization, so the strength is high;

2, with good heat and ozone resistance, weathering resistance and chemical acid and alkali resistance;

3, has good swelling resistance (including corrosion additives of oil);

4, good physical and mechanical properties, even under temperature rise conditions can be maintained at a comparable level;

5. Hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals have good abrasion resistance under harmful conditions;

6. The tensile strength of vulcanized rubber is higher than that of nitrile butadiene rubber and neoprene rubber, close to or higher than carboxyl nitrile butadiene rubber;

7. Hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals have good acid (hydrogen sulfide) environment resistance and amine/oil mixture resistance, as well as oxidation fuel resistance and lubricating oil resistance;

8, the glass transition temperature with the degree of hydrogenation between -40~-15℃, brittleness temperature of -50℃.

Hydrogenated nitrile rubber seals not only have oil and heat resistance, but also have higher tensile strength and wear resistance compared to other rubber seals.
